Pineapple Crunchy(Willie Mae Bridges) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda (baking)
    3/4 c. margarine
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. corn flakes
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Drain pineapple; reserve syrup.
    Sift flour and soda together. Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add flour mixture, vanilla and 1 tablespoon pineapple syrup.
    Stir in corn flakes.
    Press into balls 1 1/4-inches in diameter.
    Place on greased cookie sheet and make an indentation in each with thumb.
    Fill with crushed pineapple.
    Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
    Bake in oven (350\u00b0) for 20 minutes.
    Store uncovered.
