Caramel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
4 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
3 egg yolks and 1 whole egg
3 tsp. vanilla
1 pinch salt
Preparation

Caramelize 1/2 cup sugar in heavy skillet, add 3/4 cup water. Cook until like molasses.
Cool.
Beat egg yolks well, add to rest of ingredients, except vanilla.
Cook until boiling, add carmelized sugar.
Cook until thick, add vanilla.
Cool; when mixture is cool pour into cool baked shell. Top with meringue.
