Mama'S Family Secret Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. dark Karo
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    5 eggs
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt and slowly brown the butter in a skillet.
    Cool.
    Beat eggs; add sugar, salt, flavoring and cooled butter.
    Stir in pecans and put into 2 pie crusts.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 300\u00b0 and bake for 40 minutes more or until set.
