Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium sweet potatoes
1 c. sugar (white)
1/2 to 3/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. flour
dash of salt
1 tsp. lemon or orange peel
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 stick butter
Preparation

Bake sweet potatoes until done.
Mix sugar, flour and salt together.
Pour over potatoes that have been cut and placed in pan.
Sprinkle water over sugar and flour mixture until it is covered.
Sprinkle nutmeg, then cover with sliced butter.
Put lemon or orange around potatoes.
Bake in moderate oven until syrup is thick enough.
