Apple Betty - cooking recipe

4 c. sliced, pared tart apples
1/4 c. orange juice
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 c. butter
dash of salt
Preparation

Mound apples on buttered 9-inch pie plate.
Sprinkle with orange juice. Combine other dry ingredients (sugar, flour, spice and salt). Cut in butter until crumb mixture. Cover apples. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
