Christmas Cooler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime jello
    1 c. boiling water
    1 (6 oz.) can frozen limeade concentrate
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    8 large ice cubes (2 c.)
    2 (7 oz.) bottles ginger ale, chilled
    2 c. cold water
    maraschino cherries with stems
Preparation
    In a bowl, dissolve jello in boiling water; cool.
    In blender container, combine jello mixture, frozen limeade concentrate, almond extract and vanilla.
    Cover; blend at high speed, adding 1 ice cube at a time, until smooth and frothy.
    Transfer to serving bowl.
    Gently stir in ginger ale and water.
    Garnish with cherries.
    Yields 16 (4-ounce) servings.
