Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 large sweet potatoes or 1 large can yams
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    13 oz. can evaporated milk
    2 (9-inch) deep dish pie crusts (unbaked)
Preparation
    Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 375\u00b0.
    Boil potatoes until easy to pierce (or open canned yams and pour into bowl).
    Beat with mixer until smooth.
    Stir in butter and sugar.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Mix in spices, salt and milk.
    Pour into pie crusts.
    Bake on preheated cookie sheet near center of oven for 70 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
    Cool on wire rack; garnish with marshmallows, if desired.
    Makes two 9-inch pies.
