Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 lb. chopped dates
    1 lb. orange slices, chopped
    2 c. chopped pecans
    1 (3 1/2 oz.) coconut
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
    Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add to the first mixture.
    In another bowl, add flour, dates, candy, nuts and coconut; stir to coat the fruit and candy.
    Fold into previous mixture.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan and bake for 2 1/2 hours in 250\u00b0 oven.
    If using small loaf pans, bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
