Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    3 to 4 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. cream
    1/2 c. milk
    few grains of salt
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 to 1 c. nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cocoa, cream,
    milk, syrup and salt in a deep pan and heat.
    Stir
    until\tsugar is completely dissolved and the mixture boils.
    Boil
    until
    the
    test
    for
    soft ball stage is reached (when little
    of
    mixture
    is dropped in cold water). Remove from burner\tand add butter and vanilla.
    Cool until only warm; beat until
    thick
    and
    creamy.
    Add nuts, if used and pour into buttered pan.
