Country-Style Chicken - cooking recipe

3 lb. chicken
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. butter
6 medium-size potatoes
6 small onions
6 large carrots
2 large green peppers
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 1/2 c. stewed tomatoes
3 c. water
Preparation

Mix 1/2 teaspoon salt with flour.
Roll chicken in this. Brown chicken on both sides in skillet.
Peel potatoes, onions and carrots, cut up.
Cut green peppers.
Mix remaining salt, sugar and pepper with tomatoes.
Place about 1/3 of vegetables in bottom of pot.
Place chicken on top and rest of vegetables.
Pour tomatoes and water over all.
Cover and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and cook about 1 1/2 hours.
