Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 cans tomato soup (undiluted)
1/2 lb. cheese, grated
1 1/2 c. cooked rice
8 medium peppers
Preparation

Cook ground beef, onion and garlic in skillet until meat is browned. Drain off fat. Add seasonings and the tomato soup. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add cheese and cook slowly, stirring until cheese melts. Stir in rice. Cool.
