Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. salt
    5 c. sugar
    5 c. vinegar
    1/2 box celery seed
    1 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Bring all ingredients to a boil, then pour over 3 large onions which have been sliced very thin and a 1/2 a peck of cucumbers, sliced thin.
    Put in jars and process in water bath.
    Makes 4 pints.
