Creole Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. minced onion
1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
3 c. sliced okra
3 c. chopped tomatoes
1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
4 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Saute onion and green pepper in bacon drippings until tender. Add okra.
Cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Add a small amount of water, if necessary.
Makes 4 servings.
