Mrs. Joe Long'S Key Lime Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
8 Tbsp. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. lime juice
2 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
2 egg yolks
Preparation

Melt shortening. Add flour, sugar, water and beaten egg yolks. Mix well. Cook over hot water until this thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add lime juice and mix well.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Cover top with meringue and bake in moderate oven until delicate brown.
