Sunday Surprise Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising flour, sifted
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. strawberry preserves, whipped
    1/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Grease and flour 8-inch square pan.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Stir in egg.
    Add flour and milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour in pan and spread with preserves.
    Combine 1/4 cup flour, sugar, cinnamon and butter. Sprinkle over preserves.
    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven. Cut in squares and serve warm.
