Hot Pretzels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. warm water
1/2 envelope yeast
1 tsp. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
salt (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Mix warm water, yeast and sugar.
Set aside for 5 minutes.
Mix salt and flour in a large bowl.
Add yeast mixture.
Work the dough into shapes on a flour-covered counter or pastry cloth.
Put on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Beat egg and brush on pretzels.
Sprinkle on salt, if desired.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Best when eaten warm.
Makes 8 to 10 large pretzels.
