Shahi Tukray(Bread Pudding) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf sandwich style bread
    4 cups shortening
    4 cups whole milk
    1/2 cup almonds
    1 can condensed milk
    2-1/4 cups sugar
    1/2 tsp. saffron
    15 cardamom pods or 3/4 tsp. seeds
Preparation
    Toast bread slices until golden brown.
    Next, heat shortening on medium-high heat.
    Place bread slices in oil one at a time until reddish brown (about 10 seconds each side).
    After you fry the bread pieces, lay them down in a pan in a single layer or layer the slices.
