Blackberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. applesauce
    1 c. blackberry jam
    2 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 c. raisins
    3/4 c. pecans or 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add egg.
    Sift dry ingredients together, except soda.
    Add soda to applesauce; mix well.
    Add applesauce and jam to creamed mixture.
    Add dry ingredients; mix well and add raisins and nuts.
    Bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
