Pecan And Date Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    6 oz. candied cherries, chopped
    1 c. pecans
    1 pkg. dates, chopped
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Mix sugar and milk and bring to boiling point.
    Add dates and cherries and boil slowly until mixture forms soft balls in water; add butter.
    Sit in cold water.
    When cool, beat until it thickens; add nuts and place in damp cloth and roll.
    Let it sit overnight.
    Slice.
