Strawberry Angel Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
    2 heaping Tbsp. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1 (10 oz.) angel food cake
    1 Cool Whip (8 oz.)
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in 2 1/2 cups boiling water.
    Stir in thawed strawberries, sugar and salt.
    Chill until it begins to thicken. Fold in Cool Whip.
    Cover bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan with half of torn cake pieces.
    Pour over this 1/2 of strawberries and cream mixture another layer of cake, then rest of mixture.
    Chill 4 to 5 hours.
