Mama'S Caramel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Divide sugar.
Mix egg yolks, cornstarch or flour and milk and half of sugar.
Heat, but not to boiling.
Brown other half of sugar and pour in small stream into milk and egg mixture.
Cook and stir until thickened.
Add teaspoon vanilla.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Cover with meringue and bake in slow oven until brown.
