Pecan Tassies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. flour
    1 egg
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. soft butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    2/3 c. coarsely broken pecans
Preparation
    Cheese pastry:
    Let cream cheese and 1/2 cup butter soften at room temperature; blend together.
    Stir in flour; chill about 1 hour.
    Shape into 2 dozen 1-inch balls.
    Place in greased 1 1/4-inch muffin pans.
    Press dough against bottom and sides.
