Cranberry-Sauerkraut Meatballs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground beef
2 eggs
1 envelope (1 oz.) dry onion soup mix
1/2 c. water
1 c. finely crushed soda crackers
1 can (16 oz.) sauerkraut, rinsed, drained and snipped
1 can (8 oz.) cranberry sauce, whole or strained
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. chili sauce
2 c. water
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
hot cooked noodles or rice
Preparation

Mix together ground beef, eggs, onion soup mix, water and crackers.
Form into balls 1 1/2 inches in diameter, then brown in skillet.
To make sauce, combine remaining ingredients in bowl. Lightly grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
Spread half of sauce over bottom. Top with meatballs, then remaining sauce.
Cover and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Uncover and bake 30 to 40 minutes longer.
Serve over noodles or rice.
Makes about 3 dozen, about 8 to 10 servings.
