Lime Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 or 8 lb. cucumbers
    2 c. lime
    2 gal. cold water
    5 lb. sugar
    2 Tbsp. pickling spices
    2 qt. white vinegar
Preparation
    Wash and cut up cucumbers.
    Let stand 24 hours.
    Stir as often as you can with wooden spoon.
    After 24 hours, wash lime mix off 3 to 4 times to make sure the lime mixture is off.
    Put on a towel to drain and let all the water drain off.
    Mix and bring to a boil the sugar, pickling spices and vinegar and let it be syrupy.
    Drop cucumbers in and let set for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, not over 4 hours. Bring to a boil and boil for 30 minutes.
    Can and seal.
