Joanne'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 c. raw peanuts
    1 c. white Karo
    1/2 c. water
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, raw peanuts, Karo, water and salt and cook without stirring until peanuts start popping, then stir until they stop popping or until the peanuts look done.
    Remove from stove and add 1 teaspoon soda and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Mix together well and pour into pan.
    Makes a large amount of candy.
