Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Put dates in
    a bowl and cover with boiling water.
    Set aside to\tcool.
    Add
    remaining
    ingredients.
    Mix and bake at 325\u00b0 for 30\tto 40 minutes.\tWhen cold, break in small pieces; set aside.
