Cinnamon Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. cucumbers (big ones)
    1 c. lime
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 Tbsp. alum
    2 c. apple cider vinegar
    10 c. sugar
    8 cinnamon sticks (put 1 in each pt.)
    1 pkg. red hots candy (find at Wal-Mart)
Preparation
    First wash cucumbers and peel them.
    Core out seeds and slice in round slices.
    Put one cup lime in gallon of water and soak cucumbers overnight.
