Salad Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. mustard
    pinch of salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sweet cream
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Beat eggs
    lightly; add the vinegar, sugar, mustard and salt. When
    well\tmixed,\tcook
    in
    a
    double boiler with the butter, stirring until thick like custard.\tWhen cool, add the sweet cream.
    Add a dash of pepper for a vegetable salad; omit it for apple.
    This is especially good for potato salad.
