Poppy Seed Cake With Lemon Glaze - cooking recipe

1 c. poppy seed
1/3 c. honey
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, soft
3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. sour ream
Lemon Glaze
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Butter and flour 10-inch tube pan.
Heat over medium heat first 3 ingredients, stirring.
When water evaporates and mixture looks like wet sand (set aside until room temperature), then add lemon juice.
Cream butter and sugar (light and fluffy).
Add lemon rind and vanilla.
Add eggs.
Beat after each one.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Combine water and butter mixtures.
Add dry ingredients, sour cream and liquid mixture.
Pour into pan (break air bubbles).
Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
