Date Nut Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sifted flour
1 lb. pitted dates (about 3 c.)
4 c. pecan halves
Preparation

Combine eggs, sugar and oil.
Beat well; add dry ingredients and mix well.
Fold in dates and pecans.
Place in greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake 2 hours and 15 minutes at 300\u00b0 (start cake in cool oven).
Makes 1 (3 pound) cake.
