Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. lemon
    10 c. water
    approximately 8 qt. apples or 32 c.
Preparation
    Bring all ingredients, except apples, to a boil until thick. Add apples and mix well.
    Remove from heat.
    Put into hot jars with hot lids.
    Process for 20 minutes (hot bath).
    Makes approximately 10 quarts.
