Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 1) can green beans, drained
    1 (No. 1) can wax beans, drained
    1 (No. 1) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
    1 (No. 1) can garbanzo beans, drained
    1/2 bell pepper, sliced
    1/2 c. onion rings, thinly sliced
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine beans, green pepper and onion.
    Mix sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper.
    Pour over bean mixture.
    Add 1/3 cup salad oil and a dash of garlic powder (optional).
    Let set 48 hours.
