Chocolate Covered Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 large Granny Smith apples, stems removed
    8 wooden popsicle sticks
    1 1/3 c. confectioners sugar
    1/2 c. Hershey's baking cocoa
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. Hershey's semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
    2 c. chopped Hershey's vanilla milk chips (optional)
    nuts (optional)
    melted caramel (optional)
Preparation
    Wash and dry apples.
    Insert popsicle stick into stem end of each apple.
    Place on waxed paper lined tray.
    Combine confectioners sugar, cocoa and oil in glass bowl; mix well.
    Add chocolate chips.
    Microwave on High for 1 minute; mix well. Microwave for 15 to 30 seconds if necessary to melt.
    Twirl apples in chocolate.
    Tap sticks on side of bowl to remove excess. Return apples to tray.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Roll in vanilla chips, nuts, chopped candy pieces or drizzle with melted caramel.
