Granny Riggs' Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 whole eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. oil
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Place all of the ingredients in bowl and mix by hand.
    Dissolve 1 level teaspoon of soda in 1/8 cup water, add to mixture.
    Sift in 2 cups cake flour and beat well.
    Add 1 cup boiling water, beat lightly and quickly.
    Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 375\u00b0.
