Mama'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    2 sticks pure butter, softened
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Whip butter and sugar with mixer.
    Using mixer, add one egg at a time.
    Continue to beat with mixer while adding small amounts of unwhipped cream and flour alternately with each egg.
    Add 1 teaspoon vanilla or lemon flavoring or both.
    Grease and flour tube pan; shake out excess flour.
    Pour cake into pan and place in cold oven.
    Set at 325\u00b0 and cook for 1 hour.
