Oatmeal Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. quick-cook oatmeal
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 can apple pie filling
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine flour, oats, brown sugar and nutmeg in mixing bowl. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Press half of mixture into bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Bake 5 minutes.
    Remove from oven and spread apple pie filling mixed with cinnamon over crust.
    Sprinkle with remaining oat mixture, pat lightly.
    Continue baking 25 minutes or until lightly brown.
    Cool and cut into bars.
    Makes 24 servings.
    Freezes well.
