Mahogany Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 eggs
    2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg yolks.
    Dissolve soda in milk and add alternately with sifted flour.
    Mix cocoa and milk to make custard; add to cake mixture, then add beaten egg whites. Pour into well greased pan.
    Bake in moderate oven 35 minutes.
