Pickadillo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    3 tomatoes, diced (can use drained canned tomatoes)
    1 onion, finely chopped
    1 medium potato, diced
    3/4 c. raisins
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    3/4 c. slivered almonds
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. oregano
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    3 chili peppers, chopped
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain.
    Cover barely with water; simmer 30 minutes.
    Add remainder of ingredients and cook down.
    Serve warm with large Fritos or tortilla chips for dipping.
