Babka - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. scalded milk
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    8 c. flour
    6 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    raisins
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Heat milk with butter and sugar. Add half the flour, eggs and vanilla.
    Add rest of flour.
    Let rise until double in quantity;
    knead and let rise again.
    Wash with milk and egg on top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0
    for 10 minutes; then at 325\u00b0
    for 50 minutes.
