Mama'S White Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    10 eggs, separated
    4 c. sifted plain flour
    1 c. whiskey
    1 qt. nuts, chopped
    1 lb. white raisins
    1/2 lb. pineapple
    1/2 lb. cherries
    1/2 lb. citron
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together.
    Add egg yolks.
    Mix well. Reserve enough flour to dredge fruits and nuts.
    Sift flour with baking powder, soda and salt.
    Add to mixture.
    Beat egg whites and add to mixture.
    Add whiskey, a little at a time and continue mixing.
    Add chopped nuts and fruits.
    Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake 3 1/2 hours in a 275\u00b0 oven.
