Baklava - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. walnuts
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 sticks butter
    1 lb. fillo dough (comes frozen)
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. water
    1/4 c. honey
    1 cinnamon stick
Preparation
    Mix walnuts, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a bowl.
    Melt the butter.
    Butter the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Peel off one layer of fillo dough and place in pan (may have to trim dough for an exact fit).
    Generously paint dough with butter using a pastry brush.
    Repeat until 6 layers of dough are in pan.
    Evenly spread 1/3 of walnut-sugar mixture on top of dough.
    Repeat dough and walnut layers, ending with 6 layers of dough.
