Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. oil
    3 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 lb. tender steak, cut in thin strips
    1 pkg. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    3 bell peppers, cut in strips
    6 to 7 green onions, chopped
    8 oz. can bamboo shoots
    10 1/2 oz. can beef broth
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. m.s.g. (monosodium glutamate)
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/2 tsp. Chinese 5 spice
Preparation
    Heat wok or large skillet.
    Pour in oil and garlic.
    Cook garlic until brown and remove.
    Stir-fry meat 3 to 4 minutes.
    Add the mushrooms, bell peppers, green onions and bamboo shoots and stir-fry 7 to 8 minutes.
    Combine remaining ingredients together and pour over meat mixture.
    Cook 1 to 2 minutes until thick. Serve over hot rice.
    Serves 4 to 6.
