Hamburger Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    1/2 white onion, sliced
    1 c. celery, cubed
    1 c. carrots, cubed
    1 can tomatoes, cubed with juice
    2 c. potatoes, cubed
    1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
    6 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3/4 c. cold water
Preparation
    Brown hamburger with onions.
    Add soup mix, 6 cups water, celery, carrots, tomatoes and juice, potatoes and simmer until tender.
    Mix cornstarch with 3/4 cup cold water.
    Add cornstarch until stew is to your liking.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
