Ingredients

2 sticks whipped margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
2 3/4 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
5 eggs
1 c. milk
Preparation

Cream the margarine and shortening.
Add sugar, salt and vanilla.
Cream thoroughly.
Add half of the flour and half of the milk, beating at low speed until well blended.
Add eggs one at a time.
Beat at high speed after each egg.
Now, add rest of baking powder, flour and milk.
Blend in at low speed; mix well.
Pour batter into 3 well-greased and floured 9-inch pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
Cool layers and frost with Buttercream Frosting, putting coconut between layers and on sides.
