German Chocolate Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Betty Crocker German chocolate cake mix
1 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1/4 c. margarine, melted
14 oz. caramels
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Prepare cake mix as directed on box, but reduce liquid by 1/4 cup.
Add nuts, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and margarine.
Mix well. Pour half of the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 to 10 minutes or until set.
Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
Pour over cake.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over caramel.
Add remaining batter.
Bake another 20 to 25 minutes or until done.
