Old Kentucky Apple Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. Wesson oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 c. thinly chopped or sliced apples
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream together oil, sugar and eggs.
Sift together flour, salt and soda.
Add to wet mixture.
Fold in pecans and chopped apples. Add vanilla.
Start in cold oven.
Set oven at 325\u00b0 and bake 1 hour.
Pour frosting over hot cake.
