Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 egg
    1 c. sour milk
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter; add beaten egg, then mix sour milk and molasses together, alternately with dry ingredients, sifted together.
    Pour into a greased and floured shallow pan.
    Bake 45 minutes in a modern oven at 400\u00b0.
