Freezer Pickles(Makes 6 Packages) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. cucumbers
    4 c. onions
    2 Tbsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. alum
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers and onions real thin.
    Place in a large bowl, covered with ice water, 2 tablespoons salt and 1/4 teaspoon alum. Let stand in refrigerator overnight.
    Heat sugar and vinegar until sugar is dissolved.
    Cool.
    Drain cucumbers and onions.
    Cover with vinegar solution.
    Fill Ziploc bags and freeze.
