Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. unsweetened pitted tart red cherries
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. milk
    light cream or vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    For cherry filling, in a medium saucepan, combine cherries, the 3/4 cup granulated sugar, tapioca and 1/3 cup water.
    Let stand 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Cook and stir until slightly thickened and bubbly.
    Add the 1 tablespoon butter or margarine.
    Set aside; keep warm.
