Raisin Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dark seedless raisins
    1 1/2 c. golden raisins
    1 c. water
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook raisins in water over moderate heat until all the water is absorbed.
    Set aside to cool.
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until fluffy.
    Sift flour with soda and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture with raisins and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Shape into small balls and roll in granulated sugar.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet for 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
